Welcome to Ryggskog Lada, a charming guesthouse built in a traditional Swedish barn (lada). Located in the quiet village of Ryggskog is this the ideal base for anyone who wants to enjoy the forests, clear lakes, and beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails, combined with the peace and friendliness of the Swedish countryside. Whether you’re coming for an active vacation or simply want to relax in nature, Ryggskog Lada offers comfort, space, and an authentic Swedish atmosphere in a wooded setting. Ideal for 1–2 people, but thanks to a sofa bed in the living room, it can also accommodate up to 4 people. Great Wi-Fi, perfect for digital nomads, those seeking peace and quiet, travelers, painters, writers, creators, and adventurers who want to recharge or work in peace.
The guesthouse is fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including comfortable beds, a practical kitchen, a cozy living room, and a nice bathroom—and it’s available year-round. Whether it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter, you’re sure to have a wonderful time here. Go cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, or snowboarding; go sledding; go snow walking, ride a snowmobile; or book a dog-sledding tour. Pick fruit and/or mushrooms, go for endless hikes, and/or hit the trails on your mountain bike.
Everything you need is right in the area. There’s a small supermarket and even (about 2 km away) a small local ski slope with lights and a lift. If you’d like to build a fire, you can cook your meal right here at your own fire pit right outside your door. A beautiful, clear starry sky—and, with a little luck, the Northern Lights—make it all perfect. Welcome!
